The first ever Alpaca Spring Fling was held on April 9th at the Hardin County Fairground in Glendale, KY. Despite a prevailing chill wind, everyone was cheery and excited about the event. Besides Southern Elegance Alpacas, nine other KY alpaca farms participated: Ms. Bonnie & Friends, Daybreak Criations, Southville Spitters, Misty Pond Alpacas, Violet Hill Farm, Luna Wood Alpacas, Berryman Farm, Alive N’ Fuzzy Alpaca Farm, and 2 Point Farm Alpacas. Local Kentuckians dropped by throughout the day, buying products.
Visitors led some of these friendly alpacas through an obstacle course.
SEA’s very own juggling phenomenon, Robert LeBoeuf, entertained the guests while they browsed. Our Easter-themed products turned out to be very popular. These needle-felted bunnies sold out fast.
A variety of products were available, including socks and other knit items, yarn, and carded batt. And cookies!
